Robert Coward Keepers Dare Book

Evil Most Holy

The setting is England, 1590, during the reign of Queen Elizabeth the First. Enidor Fox is a depraved witch hunter traveling the southern countryside in search of wealth, not witches. Even though he is a priest, it is in name only. He partners with Lords and Nobles in the counties, falsely accusing persons of witchcraft and having them summarily tried, mercilessly tortured and then summarily executed. Once they are dead, the Lords confiscate the deceased's property and grants Fox a kickback for his trouble. He soon finds himself in Wokingham of Berkshire County to work his evil again, but this time he stumbles upon a real coven of witches who are not happy to see him and his entourage of cutthroats invade their territory. The two forces are soon joined in mortal combat and only the evil most holy will win the day.

The author, Robert Coward, lived in Wokingham for over a year and in Southern England for almost four years. He travelled extensively around Berkshire County and uses his knowledge of this area of Great Britain to paint an excellent picture of the history there. Even though Evil Most Holy is purely fictional, the places are real and the torture devices and methods historically accurate. Mr. Coward takes you to a land of the richest past and of brutal times now gone.

The purchaser must understand that this work possesses extremely graphic content of torture, sexual situations and violence. NOT FOR THE SQUEAMISH OR THE EASILY OFFENDED!!!! Enter at your own risk.

Robert Coward Keepers Dare Book

Deathjester: The Legend of Battleblade

This was my first attempt at writing. It started out as a short story, but a year and 183,000 words later I finally wrote 'The End'. Being my own worst critic, I will honestly tell you it wasn't my best but I still like the story line. It is a large, hard cover and that is why the cost is so high. Ynfalla was a kingdom forged by the rugged swords of mighty men. Nine lords, loyal to the benevolent King Velgar, kept the empire intact. With Malakohn Battleblade leading the way, they felt no power could successfully overcome them; until a horror beyond their imagination proved them wrong. Join a world of warriors, wizards, and dragons in this epic journey unique to the genre. Delve into a place where blind people see, the undead rise, giant boars are hunted and blades of steel are locked in mortal combat with a wizard's magic. The Legend of Battleblade is a must read that will leave you craving for more.

Robert Coward Miracle from Mayhem Book

Miracle from Mayhem -

My first child was a little girl born with Spina Bifida and wasn't given but 24 hours to live. Miracle from Mayhem was the hardest book for me to write and I cried through most of it. Whether you are a Christian or not, this small, 95 page book will be an inspiration. During the time of my ministry years, I learned a valuable lesson. All life is precious and should be protected by all means possible. The question that was answered for me by this little girl's life was how could a man be what God wanted him to be when so many mistakes had been made and he was so weak? God gave him strength and purpose through a crippled, mentally challenged little girl. With this child, God performed miracle after miracle over a period of nearly seventeen years, and brought His power of redemption by Jesus' blood to hundreds. This true and documented story is an amazing testament of God's love, exemplified through a child given no hope to live, but who lived a life of fullness many Christians only dream about. This is a story of human weakness, tragedy, failure, and despair, all brought together under the awesome power of the Almighty God and used for his glory and honor. Satan never saw her coming! This story is raw and uncut. You won't be able to put it down. A must read for everyone!

Why Pastor's Die Young -

During my ministry years it became apparent that almost nobody knew what we as pastors go through during the course of a normal week. They only see us, en masse, on Sundays and Wednesdays. I decided to interview several ministers and collected their stories, along with my own, to let the average church goer look inside and maybe understand why many ministers throw down the mantle and leave the pulpit behind. It is a unique look at the "behind the scenes" life of the Southern Baptist Pastor few people ever know about. While most church goers only see this man on Sundays, his week is almost always a veritable montage of worries, problems, people issues, emergencies, and unexpected happenstances. Take a look into the emotionally challenging world of the Pastor, and the one of a kind experiences he has to deal with to keep on being a Man of God.

Black Roses / Silk Heart –

Not my best effort at putting my poetry into a volume of work. I think the poetry is good, but the format is not. This book is a hardcover and expensive. I have more than 80 poems in my dossier and will one day put them all into one tome. However, welcome to the dark aspects found in depression and emotional angst with this offering. The poetry found in this collection delves into that part of the mind we so desperately avoid visiting. Yet, when life throws its worst at you, we all go there. Poet Robert Coward gives us a taste of what it's like to write those silent and horrible thoughts down with pen and language. Through them, he allows us to see that inner strength can be found when we think it is gone.

The Keeper's Dare – (e-book)

A look into my family's dark past is the product of this fictional account based on actual events. It is here that my skill as a writer was being honed and after seven years of research and more than 50 interviews I proudly present to you 'The Keeper's Dare'. On June 30, 1939, my uncle was arrested for the ambush/shooting of a deputy sheriff in Hardin County, Texas and he never saw a trial. The crime really happened and my uncle was really arrested and indicted for it. The Keeper's Dare is a story of fierce men who played by violent rules. The names have been changed and the dialogue is contrived, but the events depicted are as true to life as my research could bring them to bear. Many people have told me this would make a great movie, so I transposed the book into a screenplay and it is presently being reviewed by a group in the UK Film Industry for possible production on the big screen.

The Last Medal – (e-book)

Arguably my best work so far, as well as my latest. A Texas State Senator is gunned down yards from his home and that's when Houston's most decorated and best homicide investigator, Anson 'Giz' Morley, is assigned to the high profile case. He soon finds his world turned upside down in this tale of secrets, deceit, graft and corruption. Murder becomes the fad in Houston, Texas when a serial shooter is thrown in the mix and Morley finds a connection between the two cases that lead him down the most dangerous road of his career. The main problem for all the bad guys is this cop is as bad as they are and he has no regard for playing by the rules. Having been on the streets of Houston for thirty years, Morley can call in reinforcements whether they want to help or not; because if they don't, the alternative is to face the devil himself. The Last Medal will take you on twists and turns inside the underworld of Houston, Texas; the fifth largest city in the United States and a major hub for the Mexican Cartels' drug operations. Morley needs to solve the cases and get out alive, hoping this case will lead him to retirement and…the last medal.
